The two Swiss Nuclaer Power Plants Gösgen and Leibstadt started operation beyond the originally planned 40 years. Some are even thinking about an operating life of 80 years. INRAG published a report dealing with the questions what diffent approaches to life-time extension exists and in how far the needed investments can be estimated.
