Science and technology can be used for peaceful, but also for military purposes. Wolfgang Liebert has been dealing with this ambivalence since the time of the Cold War. Since then, the world order has changed several times, but the nuclear threat has remained – albeit under different circumstances.

In an interview with Mario Wasserfaller of APA-Science, the head of the Institute for Security and Risk Sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna tells us why he is concerned with nuclear weapons, war and peace and what other risks we should be dealing with today.
